I am a Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP)

The IRS had required anyone who prepares tax returns to take and pass a proficiency examination by December 31, 2013.  I have taken the test and passed it. So I have met the requirements to become an IRS Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP). I have received the certificate from the IRS designating me as an RTRP. Since then, the IRS was sued by some tax preparers over jurisdiction of tax examinations for preparers.

The IRS also requires us to take at least 15 hours of continuing education each year.  I exceed those requirements every year.

“The IRS does not endorse any particular individual tax return preparer. For more information on tax return preparers go to IRS.GOV.”
